FOREST CITY, Iowa, Sept. 15, 2025 – Waldorf University will host a Creative Writing Festival for prospective students on Thursday, Oct 30 at 12:30 p.m. on the Waldorf University campus. 

The winners of Waldorf’s 13^th annual Top of Iowa High School Writing Contest will be announced at the conclusion of the event following a reading from our Distinguished Visiting Writer, Samantha Edmonds.

The event highlights multiple pathways within the writing profession through a screenwriting demonstration with a Waldorf professor as well as publishing insight from Waldorf University’s in-house literary magazine run by students. The day will begin with an admissions presentation and a campus tour.
