6A25 Grading System Changes
Due to an ongoing technical issue between Blackboard and our Student Information System that reports your grades, we have made a change to the grading system in your 6A25 course. We apologize for making this update in the middle of your class, and any confusion this has caused. Grades were initially calculated on a “percentage” based system, in which you were shown your overall score based on a (weighted) percentage of the total work completed in the course. Due to these technical issues, we have moved to a “points” based system and changed the running weight total, so you will now see your overall score based on the total points in the course. It is important to note that you are not suddenly failing your class. You are seeing the grade displayed differently. You will see this total score increase as you submit assignments and receive grades. You can track your progress in the class by reviewing your score compared to how many assignments remain in the course, and comparing that to the overall points in the course.
It is very rare that we make changes in the middle of live courses, but the nature of the technical issues and how grades were being reported necessitated the update. We apologize for any confusion this has caused.
